It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our valued colleague, Axel Clausing, on January 5, 2025.
Axel began his journey with Cognex as an Account Sales Engineer in August 2018 and was promoted to Senior Account Sales Engineer in July 2020. His invitation to President’s Club on two occasions highlights his exceptional passion and expertise in sales. Axel’s dedication to his work and unwavering support for his colleagues made him a true role model. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, no matter how busy he was.
In his free time, Axel loved traveling with his family and friends. In 2023, he joined Technisches Hilfswerk (THW), Germany’s federal civil protection organization, which provides disaster relief, technical assistance, and humanitarian aid both domestically and internationally. This commitment to the common good further exemplifies Axel’s caring nature. He was also a loyal fan of English premiership football club – Liverpool FC – whose anthem, „You’ll Never Walk Alone,“ feels especially poignant during this difficult time. We want to remind everyone that support and resources are available through your manager, the ES team, and the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services.
Axel’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends; we wish them strength and comfort.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th, at 1 pm at Pfarrbereich, Ob. Kirchstraße 1, 99991 Großengottern for those who wish to attend.
